Red - March 20 2017
We have attached a picture of our sweet boy RED. Red was adopted from TBBR 4 years and 7 months ago. In July 2015 we learned Red had an inoperable lung tumor and we were told he would have 2-5 months...we then decided to take Red on many vacations. He passed away peacefully Monday March 20th. He survived 8 months. In Red's honor we will be adopting another beagle fur baby from your wonderful organization.

Reno - October 2014
Attached is a photo of Reno on his first and last days with us. We adopted Reno from TBBR on May 17, 2008 when he was about a year old; he was a constant source of amusement in our house. Reno never outgrew the puppy or his need to be the center of attention; this proved to be somewhat of a challenge when our granddaughter came along, but they did become great friends. We thought we had lost Reno in 2010 when he escaped and was hit by a car and fractured his pelvis in 3 places and dislocated a leg. He came through with flying colors and you would never know it happened to see him running up and down (and leaping off of) the stairs. This summer, he developed a tumor on his front leg about the size of a ping pong ball. The vet told us in August that it was inoperable and could be either fully invasive or only locally. By October, it was clear that it was affecting more than just his leg, so after consulting with the vet, we made the decision to let him go. We and his brother Lucas (also a TBBR adoptee) miss him greatly! Steve and Jamie (Danker) Walter

Reuben ATB 8/06/06
Reuben.....what can I say about such a gentle hound? He graced us with his presence, and it was an honor to know this old man. He was mostly blind, and deaf, he had congestive heart failure, but what a spirit to share! He could make you laugh and realize that despite any problems, there was always good things in your life too. He loved everyone he met, and they loved him. And most of all, we loved him. wen and Pat

Ringo II
5/6/2024 - Ringo was sent over the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. He was our forever foster. We treated him as our own and loved him immensely. Letting him go was the kindest last act of love we could give him. He was found stray in our RV Park in Ruskin. TBBR had no fosters available to care for him. So we fostered him. He was found 6 pounds underweight, weighing only 13 pounds, w/3 broken toes and a blown knee on the same leg. Heartworm positive, ear infections, fleas, a perineal hernia. His life expectancy was 2 months to two years. We bought him in our home on 12/27/2022 and he passed today. He was about 14 years old. He was suffering from pain due to the hernia and his worn joints. He was not a candidate for surgery. TBBR was so supportive of his care and financial support for medical assistance well. We are so grateful for TBBR’s support of Ringo. He was very scared of people at first, but in time he learned he could trust and accept love. A part of our hearts are reserved just for Ringo, forever.

Rita 04/14/2008
Our dear "Rita Rita Bergita" crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning at 9:20 am. She had lost her battle with what we believe was either Crohn's disease or colon cancer. She had lost every ounce of muscle on her body in her last 4 days and could no longer lift her head. Fortunately she waited for me to return so I could spend her last 24hrs telling her how much we loved her. She was the perfect dog and she will be dearly missed. Now she can eat all the cheeseburgers that she wants. Rikkele
