In Loving Memory of Bentley Herz (January 5, 1988 — September 1, 2005) The memories of Bentley live on in our hearts than spanned nearly 17 years as our loving companion. From the playful rambunctious puppy stage to the quiet loving sweetness in later years, Bentley was always very affectionate. His keen sense of smell would lead him to mischief chasing squirrels, rabbits & birds, cornering possums in their holes, and opening the trash. He never lost his desire to grab anything he could carry through his doggie door to the back yard to bury. Working in the yard we would uncover pot holders, lost shoes and wallets, socks, work gloves, and the list goes on. He would never let us forget when it was time to eat and loved his daily walks. Bentley kept his puppy qualities of curiosity, dependence and a loving disposition. We are truly grateful for the unconditional love that he brought into our lives. Nancy & Bruce Herz Tampa, FL
Bessie came into our lives, as a stray, in the fall of 1999. She taught us the ways of bassets, and how much they can love. Because of Bess, and her enormous heart, she led us to rescue work. She saw many hounds come through our doors, and in her way, helped each one along their journey. She will continue to help each one still, only from a different place. We gave her our hearts as freely as she gave us her heart, and she will be missed for all our lives. We love you Bessie! Mamas Pat and Wen
7/8/2025 - I knew this day was coming and it didn’t make it any easier. We had to let Bijou run over the Rainbow Bridge this morning. She came to us 17 years ago from the Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue Inc. It was love at first sight. She had a slight case of the mange but we could see her cuteness. Several potential adoptions fell through so i feel she was meant to be with us. Bijou gave us endless amusement and sometimes anxiety. She was a runner and I know she’s running with Roux in dog heaven. Our hearts are broken. We love you endlessly Bijou. Thanks for the unconditional love. There will never be another like you
2/2025 - My beautiful boy Billy crossed the rainbow bridge today He was the best dog for me. My stress relief while caring for my Mom,my buddy on our twice a day golf cart rides, so calm and loving from the first moment I adopted him from TBBR on Oct 10, 2015. He had the name Miller then.
2/2025 - It is with profound sadness that we share with you that our beautiful boy Blue left us on February 5, 2025 after a brave 3 ½ month battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Blue was 10 1/2 years old. We adopted this little one year old boy beagle named “Chesney II” almost 10 years ago. He came from the northern part of the state where the amazing people of TBBR rescued him after he was dumped in a dog pound drop box. We were told that when TBBR rescued him, he was under-nourished and scared. He had a severely broken tail, was a little bow legged and tall, and suffered from anxiety. With the help of a trainer and our veterinarian, Blue became a happy and well-adjusted boy. He was such a love, so chill and a pure soul. And if anyone told us he’d someday know how to work a room, we’d never have believed it, yet he did it in style. We will miss his goofy ways, our long walks and his gentle paw slaps to make us keep rubbing his belly when we stopped. We want to thank TBBR for bringing this amazing boy into our lives. It has been an honor and a privilege to care for him and love him. Blue will forever be a part of us, and we know one day we'll be together again at the rainbow bridge.
