Willie

Cameron/Willie (I renamed him) is doing great! He's the best dog I could ask for. We both enjoy our afternoon walks with the occasional trip to the park. I never realized how fast he was... or perhaps how slow I was. I know that eventually I'll teach him how to fetch. Currently I throw the tennis ball and he'll run to it, touch it with his nose and run back. So, he may just be teaching me how to fetch, but I know we'll get the hang of it. He's very bright, though easily distracted with his sense of smell. He is still shy around strangers, but he's in love with my girlfriend. She's the only other person he gets sad about when she leaves. He'll pace around looking through the different corners of my house hoping that she's around one of them just hiding waiting to give him a treat. And when I leave, he gives me the saddest eyes, like I'm leaving for ever. Now I sort of distract him with his Kong toy filled with peanut butter or another toy with hotdog bits inside. That usually keeps him busy. I think with some more interaction with people and other dogs, he'll kick those habits, fears and anxieties and become the carefree dog I know he is. I just want to say, "Thank you" to your organization for pairing me up with such a great friend! Nick

Watson

A few pics from Watson's fun. He was great camping in Arcadia at Peace River at Halloween. We didn't have time to get him dressed up but he did go canoeing and even rode with us on the ATV! We took him last weekend with us camping at the Nascar weekend in Homestead. He got "pimped out" for the occasion! We met another couple camping near us with 2 beagles that Watson just went nuts wanting to play with them. We did many walks with the other 2 beagles. It was so cool. People are simply amazed how mellow he is and yet he plays like a puppy at times. Thanks Jeff

Wilson
Wilson

Hi there, Wilson is quite the innovator. He can jump through open windows and get into anywhere he wants in the house. So far my other Beagle, Gretchen has not caught on. They play fight for hours and then collapse on the bed at night. Wilson has a slight kidney infection, but my vet has him on medication for 3 weeks - should be OK. Bob Harney

Walter
Walter

Just wanted to write you to let you know how I am adjusting in my new home. Everyday now I have fun. I run and play and sleep a lot. My bud Paul fenced in the yard so I can go out all the time now and we go for rides too. Me and my cousin Sophie love running after each other when she visits. The food here too is great, with lots of treats. You know I think I am beginning to love and trust him more each day. I can't stand it when he goes out without me. And I just jump and jump on him with kisses when he gets back. The only things I don't like are thunder and lightning and the pool. Sophie goes swimming all the time but not me I just watch. Oh well, maybe next summer. Anyway, I am attaching some new pictures of me. I think I've growm up a bit. Love, Walter
