Beagle : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium
Shirley was found as a stray along with Laverne in North Florida. She is a wonderful beagle girl who has shown herself to be full of love and personality. She is a little uncertain at times and isn't a huge fan of fast movement or loud noises. But her curiosity takes over and she quickly gets excited again for whatever happens next. Shirley learned to go in her crate for meals in only a few days. And after one accident, she picked up the potty routine. She also recently discovered the toy bin and spent the evening dragging about twenty of them out. Her favorite is a Kong, which she will carry around proudly and drop next to her wherever she lays down. She he also loves to follow her people wherever they go. And if you stop moving long enough, she will curl up and snuggle your feet! She might even lick a toe! Shirley does not get on furniture and sleeps by the side of the bed through the night. About the the only thing we can say that needs improvement is a little more practice on a leash and to lose a couple pounds. But fortunately those things go together! Come meet Shirley soon and welcome her into the loving family she deserves.
