Duck got his name because he "ducks" when people come near him. It is a bit sad that he is  so submissive. He is slowly finding his confidence.  He is awesome with other animals and kids, he just moves slowly.  He would do best with a fenced yard because he loves to be outside sniffing the ground and lounging in the sun.  He stays off of the couch but enjoys the comfy dog beds. He is cautious with every move anyone makes and tends to watch life from the side lines. He has had only two indoor pee incidents in his foster home but he has access to the doggy door 24/7.  He is a very loving guy and would make a great companion for someone with a quiet home and slow pace life. He doesn’t mind his foster kids but appreciates quieter house companions. He also doesn't mind the foster cat, but will bark at him if he believes the cat is doing something he shouldn’t be. Duck has a deep bellow that he uses at feeding time. I'm sure with some more training he would forget this habit.
Duck was recently examined, he has double cherry eye and chronic dry eye in both eyes. He will need an eye ointment twice daily for the rest of his life. He is very good for his medication.
