Check out this little cutie!
Mortie is one of those "instantly" lovable beagles. He goes right up to people and starts looking for loving. He knows how to beg, will sit or rear back and start pawing at the air. Mortie loves his food (what beagle doesn't?)...will be right at your leg at dinner time. He has no qualms about putting his head right into another dog's bowl...even if the other dog is still there, so you'll want to be sure to separate if he goes into a multiple dog home. He's being fed in his crate here. He'll want to be near you. He follows me around and lies down next to me on the couch or bed. He is showing a little jealously during these times and growls some if other dogs get too close. Mortie is crated during the day and had done well. As he's still a full male, he's trying to mark inside, but have not had any accidents since the first night. This weekend, he went to get his nails Dremeled....he stood perfectly still! The noise, smell, vibration did not seem to phase him. He is currently spending the weekend as one of four dogs, 2 female, 2 male. All sizes, 20-60 pounds, and is getting along well with all. Much playing going on, lots of chewing of toys and hooves, and what I would consider 'normal' growling/teeth showing when someone wants space. Come meet Mortie!
