Lucas has been in our house since August 11th and I am very pleased to say that he has not had a single accident in either his crate or the house. He seems to be housebroken and also crate trained. Lucas sleeps every night in his crate and never makes a single noise.
He loves to get outside and run around and loves to play with his chew toys. Lucas will need a home where he will have the opportunity to run around and exert his energy.
Like many dogs Lucas is a very curious dog. He needs activities and attention to help prevent him from getting bored.
He seems to do well on the leash and very rarely pulls and we are working with him to improve. We are also trying to work with him on other items such as "sit".
Lucas currently lives in his foster house with two other beagles and gets along with them very well. He has not shown any signs that he is food aggressive and plays nicely with the other dogs (who are smaller). We also believe that Lucas was once in a house where he was not allowed on the furniture because even though our other two beagles will often be on our couch or bed, Lucas has not once attempted to get on the furniture.

If you are looking for a loving dog with energy then Lucas might be perfect for you!

Update: This past weekend (8/24) I took Lucas to visit my Aunt and Uncle and found out that Lucas does very well around children. Lucas was around 3 high energy 4 year olds who wanted nothing more than to give him attention and Lucas did great with them.

We also found out that Lucas rides very quietly in the car. We took him on a 3 hour car ride and he was quite the entire trip.
