Slim Jim was found in the woods up in north Florida starving and lonely. He was extremely thin and had wounds and infections on his ears and body. These have since been treated and healed. We can only assume he had been left out there to starve. He had, however, not lost his faith in humankind and was so grateful for a kind hand, food and attention. He CRAVES attention!! He is soooo cute! He is a silly goofy guy who gives us hours of entertainment. He is a very active boy but he is also happy to be held and rocked like a baby and lay his head on your shoulder. In these photos he had already gained weight but is still thin and needs to gain a few more pounds. He crates during the day without accidents and sleeps in a crate. He does protest some and barks for a bit but then settles down and goes to sleep. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this happy go lucky boy who is so grateful to be saved and looking for a new family to love. He will need basic obedience training and ongoing house training.
