Emma Lee was originally adopted from Polk County Animal Control and then returned to the shelter 2 years later!!  
Emma can be a shy sometimes, but she gets over it and asks for some attention a little while later. She is shyer with men than women although she does come up to men when they are sitting down. Sometimes she seems a bit nervous coming inside although with encouragment she conquers her fear. 
She is just the sweetest girl who will surely steal your heart. She is very affectionate and will go up to you to be petted. Emma Lee does very well in her crate and sometimes just hangs out there.
She needs some basic training but is generally a loving girl who sleeps quietly through the night and just loves to be petted.  At dinner time she goes a little crazy and eats like she hasn't seen food in a year!  But she loves kids, gets along with all other dogs, she is housebroken, doesn't try to escape, is very quiet and mostly comes when called.  :)
With just a little patience and understanding she is going to make a wonderful companion and beloved family member for some lucky family....  

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
