Blizzard comes to us from Lake county animal control where he was confiscated along with 9 other dogs for cruelty and neglect.  These poor dogs were found starving, some near death.  Their "owner" would leave the state, leaving them to fend for themselves for up to weeks at a time.  All the dogs were extremely underweight but fortunately they were saved in time by animal control and all are hoping to find loving caring homes.  The owner is facing many counts of animal cruelty.  Blizzard is a very skinny boy but despite his ordeal shows no signs of food aggression with people or other dogs.  He is good with kids and playful with the other dogs.  He will come running when you call him and he literally wraps his arms around you and soaks up all the affection he can as if to say "THANK YOU for saving me!!!"  His face and head have some scars, nicks and scabs and his nails are overgrown.  He is getting much needed love and care.  His body may always bear a few scars from his former life but his mind has already moved on and he is so ready for the next exciting chapter.  Blizzard's life may have been stormy up until now but he is delighted to be getting regular meals and is anxiously awaiting his new loving furever family that will give him the happily ever after that he deserves.    

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
