Miss Lucy is so happy to be out of the shelter!! She has an ear infection that is being treated as well as kennel cough. Apparently all her previous owner thought she needed was food and more food because she is VERY overweight. She is actually quite a tiny beagle girl and at a healthy weight will only be about 15-18 lbs. Unfortunately she also has heartworms and will have to be treated before we can get her on her exercise regimin. But keep watching this beautiful girl because she is definitely going to be an EXTREME BEAGLE MAKEOVER when we are done with her!!!

UPDATE 2/16/08: My ears are clean and I'm cough-free!! My foster mom has me on walks every day, so I'm working hard to get in shape. I'm waiting for my heartworm treatment then I'll be good as new! My walks are both a treat for me and my mom, because I'm so good at keeping pace and gently walking by her side.My mom says I'm a dream come true, I'm housebroken, a bundle of love, and so easy going.

UPDATE 3/5/08 - Lucy has gone through heartworm treatment and is ready and waiting for her new home!!!
