Beagle : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Small
Titan is a handsome, classic beagle with tons of potential. It appears his former situation was not a positive one, as new experiences and human interaction can at times be overwhelming for this little guy. Titan can be fearful when he feels cornered and does not like being approached when he is in his crate. He will go in just fine and is quiet and content but when it is time to come out, it is best to just open the door and let him do it on his own time. His foster parents have seen so much progress in just a short time. Titan is now excited for walks with the pack and is an excellent leash walker. They also just recently learned that Titan LOVES to play fetch! While Titan has been cautious and careful in his new environment, his eyes lit up and his tail wagged feverishly when tennis balls were brought out. This is a pretty unique characteristic among beagles and makes him even more fun to be around. Titan knows how to sit and stay and is polite while people eat. Puppy meal time is still a work in progress as he can demonstrate some food aggression and unusual behavior when bowls are put down. We give him his own space in the laundry room while the others are crated and that seems to be working well. He is playing well with his foster brothers and sisters and loves a nice soft place to curl up and sleep. Titan has also been left alone in the house uncrated for a few hours and there have been no issues. Titan has made great progress in the short time he has been with his foster family. The fear seems to be fading and he has been receptive to human presence while he is eating. Titan loves to bring us toys to induce us to play and when people have had enough, he goads his foster sister into playing. His tail is lifted most of the time now and Titan is well on his way to being a confident, stable boy.
