Buddy Sr. was found a year ago on a busy highway just narrowly escaping being hit by a tractor trailer. He was taken in by a very nice couple who took care of him for the past year. Recently Buddy Sr. began to cough and show signs of illness. Unable to find any affordable veterinary care his new owners took him to animal control hoping he could get medical care there and that they could maybe adopt him back once he was healthy again. Well, we all know the fate of a sick senior dog in animal control and there is no happy ending to that story. Luckily we were contacted by the shelter and we were able to take in poor Buddy Sr. He was found to have pneumonia and was evaluated with blood work and xrays. He completed a long and rough course of injected antibiotics and seemed to be getting better. However Buddy seems to be suffering from all the afflictions of old age and struggles with debilitating arthritis. He is now back on antibiotics for a relapse of his respiratory infection and his appetite is fluctuating. We are just hoping that Buddy can have a few more good months left. Every day is a blessing with this boy who is such a sweetheart! Buddy is the perfect example of a dog who TBBR provides medical care for that will never be adoptable.
