Barney V is a great laid back and easy going guy who is just looking for a place to curl up and relax. He will follow you around and if you let him, he will snuggle up to you in your favorite couch or chair. As with any beagle he should never be let off his leash. Indoors he loves our other beagle, and our two large mixed breed dogs. He actually will kiss our cats (if the cats let him!)
He was dumped off at a very poor rural shelter by his owner who apparently had little regard for what would happen to Barney there. Poor Barney was very frightened and couldn't figure out what he had done wrong. Lucky for Barney, the nice people from Aussie Rescue happened to be at the shelter and got him out of there right away and called TBBR. We are so thrilled that he could be saved and any family will be lucky to have him join them. He will repay you with unconditional love, loyalty and gratitude!!
I would keep this boy myself if I didn't already have so many animals! He is a genuine sweetheart. He is also a big Ham when it comes to taking pictures! He seems to take very well to elderly people, as he loved my mother when she was here 2 weeks ago. He also likes my elderly neighbor. He just seems to love everyone he meets. When taken for a ride in the car, he is calm and will just look out the window, or lay down. Barney also loves taking a bath! He almost falls asleep while taking one. Also, doggie massage makes him fall asleep too.
