Stone has the potential to be an amazing beagle. However, some cruel individuals have done damage to such a sweet little beagle. Stone was rescued off the streets of Jacksonville. We do not know everything that happened to him before TBBR picked him up, all we know is that someone tried to break his spirit. As a result, he has some issues with aggression and biting. Stone needs a forever home with someone who will love him despite his faults and will spend the necessary time training him to make him the beagle that he can become. His foster parents have paid for lifetime training with a behaviorist. It is imperative that whoever adopts him continues with the behaviorist and training. The training needs to start immediately upon adoption. If not, Stone and his adoptive home will never be happy. His foster parents have seen vast improvements in him since training began. They feel that they cannot keep him since they will soon be welcoming a baby into their home. At this time, Stone should not be adopted by a family with children.



Stone needs someone who is okay with giving him his space when he needs it and loving him with he wants love. He is almost like a cat or old man in that way. Stone loves to lick your face when you come home, even if you have only been gone for an hour. It would be great if he was the only dog in the house because he really needs all the love he can receive. It would be best if there was a fenced in back yard. Although Stone loves to be walked, he sometimes has issues when you try to put on/off his collar and leash. This goes back to our belief that he was tied to a tree by a previous owner. His foster parents are working on getting him more comfortable with touching around his neck.



If you are that special person who will love Stone and not give up on him immediately when there is a problem, please consider adopting this special dog. Stone can already be incredibly sweet and it will just take the right person with the right amount of patience and love to bring out the best in him.
