Snoopy is a fun and friendly girl who once had a home where she was loved. She also had a best buddy who she was very bonded to, a 3yo dachshund. Recently their 96 yo owner died. None of the family members were willing to take in this now homeless pair so they found themselves in a high kill shelter. The shelter, hearing that these two were very bonded went out side of normal protocol and insisted they be adopted together. After they appeared on TV together, they were finally adopted from the shelter together! You would think that Snoopy got her happy ending and this is where the story ends. But sadly for Snoopy things only got worse. After less than a week, the family that adopted her and her brother coldly returned Snoopy to the shelter. Knowing that these two were very bonded, they kept the doxie but left Snoopy, now more alone than ever, to a very scary fate. They claimed she had kennel cough, an easily treated respiratory infection, but she has never exhibited any signs of kennel cough. Now, there she sat in the shelter for almost 2 more weeks crying to anyone who walked by to take her home but no one did. Finally she was out of time and on the list to be euthanized. So even though TBBR is bursting with beagles, we couldn't let her story end there so now she is one of the lucky ones to be saved and given another chance to find a new family. She is great with other dogs, housebroken, wonderful with kids and walks great on a leash. What more could you ask for? Even though she misses her brother the 8 other dogs in her foster home have welcomed her into the pack. Please give Snoopy the happy ending she deserves.
