You could not ask for a sweeter little beagle boy. He is always ready to give you a doggie kiss and has learned good manners on the leash and has not had a single accident. Great around small children but because of his injury it would not be recommended as children have a tendency to pick up small dogs and drop them. This would just aggravate Bruno's paw if he happened to fall on it. Bruno went last week as a Foster to Adopt. His new parents love him to death and he is doing extremely well living the life of a very happy normal puppy. Unfortunately and very tearfully Bruno has to come back because his new Dad had a severe asthma attack. We will find Bruno a wonderful home because he is a true gem and will make a family very happy.
More about Bruno IIGood with Dogs, Good with Kids Special Needs: Bruno II has a damaged right from elbow that his previous owners never had treated. As a result the damage is now permanent and Bruno II will never have full use of that elbow. He has been examined by an orthopedic vet who recommended that Bruno II's bone be allowed to fuse together, at which time he will be able to put weight on it. However, he will never have full use of the leg and will always limp. Let us assure you that he is as fast on 3 legs as many dogs are on all 4! He still uses the leg to hold chews and when playing with other dogs. He loves his walks and he is beginning to touch the paw down. We also swim with him as much as possible either at de Soto in the ocean or exercise him in the bathtub. He is so small, all one needs to do is fill up the tub and hold him under his belly. Bruno is so good natured that he is very cooperative in all we ask him to do. He is truly a gem and an extremely handsome petit beagle. Had it not been for his injury, Bruno would have been adopted within seconds.
