Dixie Chick is all love. She just loves to see people she knows who will treat her well. She loves a lot of attention and wants to be a part of a family.

She gets along great with other dogs and she loves running, roughhousing outside and playing with her buddies. She especially loves toys and will carry them throughout the whole house, frequently visiting the toy basket to see what else she can play with. Her foster mom thinks she would do well with other animals or just by herself with a loved one.

This girl thought she had a forever family when she was adopted from the shelter back in 2008.  However her family let her down when they returned her to the shelter 2 years later, overweight, infested with fleas and heart-worm positive.  The flea problem and the heart-worm have been treated. Her skin and fur have recovered nicely and now she has a pretty shine to her coat.

Like many grown women, she does have weight problems and is currently learning moderation in her diet.

 Dixie Chick is certain that her next home will be her final and forever home that will give her the life and love she deserves!

Most of all, despite being let down by her people, Dixie Chick loves people. Her tail is constantly wagging whenever she is near people. She is really a lovely, sweet girl and she would love to be part of your family. Won't you make her yours?
