Delilah is a lovable, affectionate almost 2 year old pup with a heart as big as her personality. She is incredibly sweet and gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and people, making her a great fit for almost any home. Delilah has a playful, higher energy level typical of a young dog, so she would thrive with a family that can give her regular exercise, playtime, and engagement.

Delilah is a champion snuggler who loves being close to her people and hasn’t quite learned the concept of personal space yet — she simply wants to be near those she trusts. She appears to seek reassurance, which may stem from being previously abandoned or dumped, but she responds beautifully to love and attention. She is about 90% house trained and will whine at the door to let you know when she needs to go outside. Delilah also walks fairly well on a leash and continues to improve with consistency.

When first meeting men, Delilah can be a little skittish and may occasionally have an accident due to nervousness. However, once she warms up and feels safe, she does very well and shows her true, loving personality. Due to her strong need for reassurance, crating her at night is not recommended, as it may cause stress and potentially set back her progress. She would do best in a home where she can feel secure and close to her people while continuing to build confidence.

With patience, reassurance, and a caring home, Delilah is ready to become a loyal, devoted companion in her forever family.
