Joy is a young beagle girl who is suffering from terrible neglect. Her coat is dry and thin and her poor skin is so itchy and flaky. She has rubbed all the hair off her nose and chewed it off her feet. She is so very sweet and not quite sure of what is going on. She has already received several medicated baths and is on meds and supplements to get her healthy once again. This young girl has already had one litter of pups in her short life. Her ears are cut and scabbed from running thru brambles and briars and bushes.
But one thing is certain, she is an absolute JOY to have around and we are so thrilled to give her this chance at a GREAT life! She is a quiet, easy going girl who, with a little time, is going to be a shining star!
Feb 28 - UPDATE: Joy is doing great! She is looking so much better and her scabs are healing up, hair is going back on her feet and her coat is looking so much healthier! Her beagley nose leads her all over the yard exploring every inch. She is so loving and craves attention and affection. She gets along great with other dogs big and small and loves kids. She is super quiet and we have yet to hear her make a sound ~ Maybe she will find her beagle voice one day soon!
