Radar is a handsome little Beagle that is 2-3 years old and weighs about 20lbs. He has spent most of his time in a crate (by his choice), but I have been keeping the crate door open while I am home. He is starting to explore the house more on his own. He has recently discovered the couch and the bed which he seems to be a big fan of. He has not had any accidents in his crate or in the house. He loves being outside and smelling every square inch of the yard, but will need a fenced in yard with his Beagle nose. He also likes to linger just a couple feet behind you because he is curious. We began with working on small taps for touching and have transitioned to head, neck, ear and chest pets which he does not seem to mind. He does pretty well walking on a leash, but also prefers to stay a step or two behind you to let you lead the way. He has very much benefited with having another dog to play with and for them to show him that humans are ok. I have brought him to work in the afternoons this week and he has been perfectly content hanging out in his crate or near my feet under the desk. He is heartworm positive, but that hasn’t seemed to slow him down. He began his 30 days of medicine on Sunday 4/6.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
