Hannah is new senior to our rescue.  Hannah is a sweetie.  She’s had a rough go of it.

She came to us via a Clay County shelter.   She’s very underweight and not sure if she’s deaf or if she has other ear issues so that will need to be checked out.

Personality, she’s very low key.  Loves pats and walks, long walks.   Has not barked at other people or animals.  When we’ve encountered other dogs she becomes very subservient; tail is tucked between her legs.

I have two cats, a 6 year old and a kitten.  The kitten is scared of her but the older cat (Oscar) was used to my old dog and is curious.    Hannah finally asserted herself when Oscar went into her food bowl and Hannah barked for the first time and snapped to let him know that was off limits. Did not attack or hurt the cat, just set some limits.

She tends to follow people around the house and has found a cozy corner in my son’s room.

We’ve not had her long but she’s coming out of her shell, slowly.  At first I was worried because she wouldn’t eat but think that was just from nerves.  She’s doing better about eating her kibble but it not food motivated.

She will make a very nice, low key addition to the right furever home.
