Copper III needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start? Copper was originally adopted as a puppy but is now being surrendered by his family through no fault of his own. The child in his family has been developing allergies and they continue to get worse so the dr has said copper must go! Copper III's mother is Lisa, a beautiful tricolor beagle whose picture you can see under Successes on our website. Here is what his current family says about him: Copper is a big boy. He currently weighs about 55-60 pounds and is about 28 inches tall. (the height is a very rough estimate) He loves my husband dearly and will bark anytime he's around to get his attention. During the day, when it is just Copper and I, he rarely makes a noise. Because of my sons's allergy issues, Copper has been confined to his crate LOTS during the day. (I really hate admitting this) He is an indoor dog and is current on all his vaccines. It is believed that Copper also has some allergies to some dog foods. We switched him to the Natural Balance Potato and Duck Formula dog food last year and his red, itchy skin cleared up almost instantly. (This was NOT a veterinary diagnosis, but we've had no issues with his skin since the switch.) He plays well with our neighbors dogs (Boxers) but will take off if he is not on a leash. He also loves niffing down the squirrels. He does not react well to our cat, but she tends to hide lots, so it hasn't been an issue. He loves to go on walks, but tends to ant to be the leader. He also enjoys playing 'ball' with my husband and son. Will you provide that forever home for Copper? He sure deserves it!
