Hi, I’m Wilson! I am about 7 years old and fully housetrained/heartworm negative. I am a bit of a nervous guy, so I need two good walks a day to help with my anxiety. I have moderate energy but as long I get my walks, I’m very relaxed around the house. I love a good squeaky toy and will bring it back to you time and time again. You can see how much I have changed from my photos – I came to TBBR with an injured leg, itchy skin, and no fur on my tail or nose. My leg is much better and I have transformed into a very handsome guy, wouldn’t you agree?
I am not a fan of other dogs, so I need to be an only dog in the house and I’m not the kind of dog you take to the dog park. I’d much rather ride around in the CAR! It’s clear I have not had a lot of love in my life, so I will follow you everywhere. I will sit nicely for a treat and “shake” my paw. I also love to curl up next to you in the evenings on the couch and will sleep quietly on a dog bed at night. I’m a great sleeper!
I do not like to be crated (I was previously left in a crate for too long), but I’ve been doing very well in my foster mom’s house uncrated when she leaves. I am working with a trainer to help with some of my separation anxiety and reactivity to other dogs, and I am making progress. I do not seem bothered by cats, so I would likely be fine with them. However, I need a home without small children because if you touch my leg in the wrong spot, I do get a little grumpy. Won’t you give me a chance? My trainer will continue to provide service and advice (already paid for) for anyone who adopts me!
