Beagle : : Female (spayed) : : Adult
Polka-Spot is HW+ and is ready to go to a good home within the Tampa Bay area. Polka-Spot, a 5-year-old female, weighing in at exactly 25 lbs, came to TBBR with a very large hernia, and was a little sad and confused. She was dumped outside an animal's shelter's front gates. It was a miracle she wasn't hit by a car, probably because she was patiently waiting for her family to come back and get her. The family probably dumped her due to her medical situation, but once TBBR got the call to come get her, we lovingly took care of her. She had hernia surgery last month, and she feels so much better. She's made a a full recovery and is looking for her forever home in the Tampa Bay area.
She is a relaxed, happy 5-year-old with occasional zoomies. She loves to cuddle, and she'd really love to sleep in bed with you. She shows affection by resting her head on your lap. She is house-trained, knows how to use the doggy door, and has not had a single accident in the house. She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children. Polka-spot sleeps most of the day and has the zoomies when her foster parents come home. She does bark for the first 10 min when her foster parents leave the house, but falls asleep shortly after. Polka-Spot loves to go wherever you go and gets excited whenever she is about to go on a walk. Her foster's think she is the perfect beagle! The only two behaviors Polka Spot could use help with are walking between your legs and under your feet and putting her paws on the counter to look for food.
Polka-Spot is very smart, she learned how to open the garbage can in her foster home, and she also learned to use the dog door quickly. Her foster parents think she will adapt to whatever routine and home she goes into. She is the most loving girl. She wants to be loved and get cuddles. She loves hugs.
