Is napping an Olympic sport? If so, Mother Goose would win all the gold medals!!
This 8 year old American Foxhound gal spends the bulk of her days getting her beauty sleep. No wonder she’s so pretty! However, she won’t let you forget when it’s time to eat and will sing the song of her people to let you know it’s time to fill her bowl.
Gussie, as her friends like to call her is 42 pounds, crate, house, and doggy door trained. She was found as a stray and came into our care frightened and in pain due to hip dysplasia. She has since blossomed into a trusting pup, and she has recovered from surgery that will allow her to have a happy life free from hip pain.
She enjoys the company of other dogs, especially of the hound persuasion. She is timid, but is also very interested in meeting new people that want to scratch her chin and velvety ears.
Her perfect home would be one where she has a confident, friendly dog companion, a fenced in yard. Apartments are not ideal for her due to her twice daily singing for food and abundance of stairs.
She’s all “Gussied” up and ready for her forever family to take her home!
Mother Goose is heartworm positive but can be adopted during treatment if the adopter is local to Tampa Bay.
