Maxine is a very sweet, pretty little girl. When she came to us she was very timid and very skinny. She is now eating well and slowly gaining some weight and ideally should be about 23-24 lbs. According to the vet she is about 4 years old but could be a little younger. She is otherwise healthly and we are starting to see her feel comfortable enough to play with toys and chew on nylebones. She gets along very well with her other foster brothers and sisters. W don't have cats or little children but she is very gentle and I think she would enjoy children as long as they were not too rambuncious with her. She loves attention and to be pet, although at first she waited for you to come to her. She now will come to us wanting attention and for the first time the other day curled up in my lap for a nap. She is very obidient and someone taught her to "sit" and when told to "go to bed" she goes to her dog bed and curls up for the night. She has never had an accident in the house and overall has very good household manners. No chewing, no getting into trouble, and so far I've never heard her bark. She goes easily into her crate with a little treat when we leave the house. She does need some help to build up her confidence as, even when she is wagging her tail, which she does a lot, it is low and sometimes between her legs. So, if you are a family that is willing to give this sweet girl time and lots of love she would be a wonderful addition to your family.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
