Cortez has the manners of a gentleman and he is ready for adventure, too. He is interested in checking out the back yard, on leash, and he eagerly strides around our neighborhood park (1 mile loop) both morning and evening. When we encounter other dogs and strangers, Cortez looks, but never barks. He leaves them alone to go back to his explorations in true beagle fashion. At home he stays in a large crate, but when he comes out he lays at my feet while I work on the computer or watch TV.  Well, one time when I got out of my comfy chair he thought I wasn't looking and he hopped right in it! He was obedient when I gently removed him from the chair. He likes to have his head scratched behind his ears. He enjoys riding in a portable crate in the back of my SUV when I pick up my son  from school. The picture of smiling Cortez caught your attention, and his fine manners and loving disposition will conquer your heart

Cortez is heartworm positive.  He can be adopted during his treatment if within an hour from one of our vets.  

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
