Bella Ann is a beautiful young girl that got herself hit by a car. She was taken to the shelter and by the time we got her the healing had started. The right pelvis was broken and her left leg dislocated. Our vet tried to put her left leg back in and it popped out. The orthopedic surgeon felt it was too long to do anything with the right pelvis. As she continued to heal her recovery has been nothing but amazing. When our vet saw her to do her spay he just shook his head and smiled with amazement.
Today she is a very sweet girl who loves to run in the yard chasing lizards and squirrels on the fence. You would never know she sustained such an injury without having surgery when you see her run. She is housebroken, gets along with the other dog's in the house, and loves to play with her toys. She has not been able to jump up and may never be able to do that. She sleeps in her bed at night in our room and in her crate when we're gone. She will sleep in her crate when we are home and the door is open. She likes her crate. So your probably asking yourself, is there anything wrong with this sweet girl. She is a crier. Not a barker but crier. She has gotten much better since we got her, and we attribute some of that to pain. That being said, we were all hanging out and my wife went out front and you would have thought someone was killing her. As soon as my wife returned Bella ran in to her bed. Our neighbors have said they heard her but never for more than 5 minutes after we leave. When we return she is calm in her crate and doesn't get up until we open her crate. We believe that at firat she will cry but as she gets comfortable it will subside. Things she might not be good with would be very young children or another dog that likes to rough house.
