Scout is a handsome, sweet dog, who may not have had the best start in life. He is affectionate and likes to be petted by his humans. He is generally friendly and calm but becomes anxious when left alone.

Scout loves to walk and is good on the leash unless something get his attention, e.g., other dogs, cats, squirrels, bunnies.  A quick 20-second jog will help him refocus. He enjoys toys but can be a bit possessive. Sudden movements frighten him, and he occasionally reacts with a nip.  He has worked with a behaviorist and has made wonderful progress.  He is housetrained and eats and sleeps in his crate at night. 

Scout is a great dog; the right home for him will have another dog and adult humans only, who will give him the structure, patience and understanding that he needs.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
