Spot is a smart, sweet, energetic girl and she enjoys going to the dog park. She likes to play with toys and with the other resident dogs in her foster home and doesn't bother the cat. Spot seems to get along with every dog and tries to engage all of them in her games. Spot always lets us know when something is new or a new person is around as she is very alert and can be protective. She can also be a loud barker when she is alerted or very nervous. She has adjusted to life in her foster home and we rarely hear her barking unless someone new is here that she does not know well. Introductions usually go well with Spot but also need to be done slowly.

Spot is crate trained and views that as her safe space so it would be something she needs to start in her forever home. Spot is very good walking on a leash after lots of practice in her foster home. Spot will need a fenced in yard in her forever home for her to run and play in and to be able to give her some time and space to adjust to her new family.

Spot likes to be scratched alot and is very food motivated. She sometimes makes a purring, rumbly noise when she is being scratched since she likes it so much.

She will need weeks to adjust to her forever home and will need her new family to be very patient with her during that process. She is a sweet and loving dog but it takes time to build up that trust with her.   Spot will need a family that is patient as she learns to trust them when she goes to her forever home. Spot is also likely to do very well with another dog. She gets along well with other dogs and they would  help her to trust her new family.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
