Poe was left at the shelter by a family that no longer wanted him. He cried in his kennel for hours, scared and alone, not knowing what happened. The Rescue Village heard him, and we brought him down to Tampa, heading for a new life. He was very timid at first, but after the first day, began to explore his new environment and people, and his personality is blossoming. He is a happy boy, very gentle, and likes to be with his people. He has become a good snuggler and loves to play with all of the toys available. Poe seems to love tags, so blanket and pillow tags have been tested at his foster home. His foster mom is working on that with him, and he is learning fast. He is housebroken, does well in a crate, but does need to learn how to walk on a leash. We do not think he has ever enjoyed a walk, so this is new to him. His foster siblings have been a big help making him feel comfortable, and giving him his confidence back. He would be fine as an only dog, or with a sibling.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
