Champ is a very sweet dog getting used to living inside. He can be very timid but is warming up to his foster family. He gets along fine with cats and dogs, but doesn't interact much with either. He tags along behind the dogs in his foster home, but so far hasn't shown any response to play attempts. He prefers wet food to dry, and at first expect him to shy away from all food as he gets used to his new surroundings. He still won't take food from our hands, but now will accept treats we put on the floor for him.

As he has gotten more comfortable, Champ has gotten into trouble with stealing socks a few times. He hasn't shown any interest in the provided chews or toys, and is quite timid around the ones that make noise. We haven't tried him out walking yet, but he does very good with the doggy door, and hasn't had an accident when he has access to the backyard. We do recommend he be crated if he will be alone indoors for any amount of time.

In general, we think Champ would be best suited for a quiet house, with older children or adults only. He seems more comfortable with dogs than people but hides if the dogs are too boisterous. He is slowly gaining confidence and we hope one day he'll be a regular cuddle monster!
