Maria, I just met a girl named Maria!!! What a sweet-natured girl! Maria is a pretty red and white beagle with beautiful markings. Her foster mom brags all day long that she is the best beagle in the world. Maria is super playful and loves toys. We had to go to Walmart and fill the toy box so she has plenty to do! She loves her beagle and Mutt brothers, and can beat them both in a game of tug-a-war! Other outstanding features are: smart, loves all people, sits, comes when called, and is as comical as a beagle can be. Her expressions are many and they are priceless. Maria is HW negative, UTD on her shots and spayed ** ALL DOGS ARE SEEN AT ADOPTION EVENTS OR BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. WE RECOMMEND HAVING AN APPROVED APPLICATION ON FILE PRIOR TO ADOPTION EVENTS. **
Special Needs: Medical Update: Maria's condition has been evaluated by another vet and we have a consensus! Maria has hip dysplasia, as found in many large breeds. As a result of the dysplasia, she has the potential to develop arthritis or may have problems in her hip joints AS SHE AGES. Her size and weight certainly work in her favor, and she could live a long and pain free life. We are currently working on reducing her medications all together. Maria will need to take glucosamine/chondroitin forever, this is a dietary supplement that builds up cartilage; it can be purchased at any Walmart or drug store.
