"Hi, I'm Jerry! I've been with my new foster mom for a couple months now and she thought I should check in. Looking for an energetic, playful, wanna be by you all the time companion? That's me! Oh, did I mention lots and lots of kisses? Foster mom calls me "intense"...I say I just want to be by you - or other dogs. My favorite game is to take a toy/chewy and push it into the other dogs faces....I wanna play! Depending on the other dog is how well my intense play mode is accepted. If I get exercise for about an hour a day....I am calm and cuddly much quicker at night. Oh night! I would love someone who will let me sleep in their bed...I will burrow under the covers and lay my head on your leg. If not, I am crate trained...after a little complaining (sigh) I'll settle down. I like to act all big and bad when I first meet new dogs, and sometimes people....I call it the 'greet and growl'...but once introductions are done, I'm fine and ready to love! I've played with everything from Yorkies to Great Danes at the local park." (Foster mom here, he'll need to be monitored closely when meeting new dogs/people. Visitors to my house are immediately introduced to his guard dog personna, but once he sniffs and they sit, things are fine. His bark is loud and not very beaglely, he alerts to anyone/anything that goes on outside,...as a single person..I kinda like it.) "I need someone who has some experience and won't be turned off by my quirks...while I'll love kids - I do tend to jump and nibble, so older ones would be better. I need a consistent parent to help me behave and be a good boy. I really want to please - it's just sometimes my manners are a little rough. I'm smart too! I can learn. Cats...spent a couple days with one...I was curious, but it stayed up high and away from me so I don't know. I would love to meet you and play...if you're willing to be patient with me and help me learn my manners, we'd make a great team!"
