Brit (Brittney to her foster family) is the sweetest and most loving dog. She is finishing up her mom duties with a litter of 8 puppies and is looking for her forever family.
Brit is goofy and a little clumsy. Sometimes, she wags her tail so hard that she falls over! She is so excited to see her people when they come home and absolutely will not settle down until you give her a big hug. She just wants to sit in your lap and hug you. Other than that, she is fairly calm, unless you have food in your hands and she rarely barks unless another dog in the house starts barking first.
She is young and still needs some training, but is 99% housebroken and just needs boundaries when it comes to where she can hang out and what she is allowed to chew on. She is very open to correction and obeys when corrected. She is sensitive and seems to respond well to correction or a sharp “ah” noise vs. a “no.”
She follows her foster mom around the house and isn’t happy unless she is nearby. She loves to just nap near her people. At night, she would love to sleep under your bed or even in the bed with you. Brit would be great with families and kids, but does like to jump up and give hugs, so she would do better in a home with children that can handle that until the behavior is corrected (foster family is working on it). She is great around other dogs. We do not know how she will do around cats. This people-oriented medium sized beagle is a true gem.
