Poe AKA "Poe Bear" is such an easy dog. He is calm when you want him to be and energetic when you want that. He loves a good nap on something squishy, but he loves to play too. He is house broken and has even started ringing a bell to go outside. He has picked up on the routine in his foster home very quickly. He sleeps through the night and sometimes doesn't want to get up in the morning.  

Poe LOVES walks and even went running by the bay with his foster dad and he did great and had a ball.  He does sometimes bark at other dogs. He is not aggressive, he wants to meet them and is frustrated when he can't.  He LOVES the dog park and has a grand time at the TBBR meetups. He has been out and about and even went to Coppertail brewery in Tampa and was a perfect gentleman! He loves to look out the window and watch cars and people go by. He is very passsionate about lounging by the pool.  Poe is also a fan of playing fetch with stuffed toys and likes to chew on them. He has not shown any destructive tendencies in his foster home.

 

When you first meet Poe, he seems a bit aloof and shy. He is a confident dog, he just isn't ready to bond with people right away. It will happen, it just takes time. He is very tolerant of petting. You can pet his face, touch his ears and nose and he loves it. He seems to be fine around the few children that he has encountered and is fine around other dogs. When he is bothered, he will just get up and leave instead of displaying any aggression.  He gets sweeter and friendlier every day.  He has just recently started cuddling on the couch. He loves belly rubs and when you do that, he rolls on his back and makes silly noises.
