Ben II
Ben II

Hi Paula and all the Rest! Ben has adapted very well, loves his cage, and has adapted very well to his Brother, Kink. after a week they were seen playing with each other. My neighbors love him to death and he is very mild mannered and gentlemenly. Of my 10 basic commands he is up to knowing 5 and we're working on the rest! He is a great dog and though has an affinity for my socks and the occasional paper plate, these will be things that he will grow with! I enclose some pic's Happy New Year!

Barnie III
Barnie III

This is our new edition, Urban. He has a very sweet personality, and such a cute face!!! He is not obsessed with food and treats (aka not a typical dog!!), and is still being picky about what toys he plays with. He sleeps a lot (as you can see) but does have energy when he wants! He loves his crate, and feels very comfortable with it. Not much beagle bark from Urban (yet). He does when provoked, but even then, it doesn't interest him that much. He has learned his name, and I think he likes it! Andrew is already calling him the Urbananator! We are a little worried about him not eating as much. He doesn't like dry food, and only wants a little wet. Andrew and I think he was fed people food, because he spends a lot of time at our feet in the kitchen. He begs some, but it's doesn't seem like it's his life mission. Should we be worried? Any suggestions? He is behaving beautifully though! We think all of this is just an adjustment period (for dog and parents!). We are very excited to be new parents! More active pictures to come (when he gets more energetic)!!! Thanks, for everything, and sorry we miss you on Saturday! Cherie, Andrew and Urban!

Bailey III
Bailey III

Bailey and the family are doing great! We have successfully blended our family. The only issue has been when I took him to the vet on Friday, my vet found that he had a severe ear infection in one ear. He's on an antibiotic and ear cleaner and seems to be doing well-no problem when I have to put the drops in 2x a day. He's only gotten into the trash once and had no potty accidents at all (which I'm so thankful for). Things are really working out. Bailey's personality is a perfect fit for us! Thanks for helping to make the connection. Brandi, Rob, Jordan, Eli and Bailey Morris

Bella III
Bella III

Bella -- We also call her Queen Bella if you know what I mean. Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you that Bella is doing just great. She is just the sweetest little beagle girl ever and so very smart. Her prior owners must have spent a great deal of time with her or she went to obedience training. She already knew the commands of sit, shake, and lay down and she is very careful not to bother the stuffed animals that do not belong to her as if she was familiar with a little girl's room already. When you do give her a toy of her own, she destroys it pretty quickly. She is so smart that she knows the days of the week. Alaina comes home from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for about 45 minutes between classes around 10:30 in the morning. Bella knows Alaina is not going to stay for long and she hides behind the coach when she senses it's almost that time. Of course, a treat always coaxes her out of hiding. Her personality is a lot like my daughter's when it comes to sleeping. She'd rather just curl up and sleep away the afternoon sometimes and just doesn't like to be bothered. She actually looks like she is giving you a dirty look when we tell her it's time to get up in the morning, but I think her favorite part of the day is the morning walk which coincides with the elementary school children walking to school at the same time (we live in a subdivision next to an elementary school). Of course, they just love the puppy and she socializes with everyone walking along the way. She wasn't quite as happy with the high school on Friday night as the band was a little too loud for her. Speaking of loud noises, she always perks up and looks around when she hears a loud motorcycle which makes me wonder if her former owner had a motorcycle. She is all beagle though when it comes to tracking a racoon. We had one in the backyard and she caught the sent before we saw the racoon - she went nuts!! We will soon have our Queen Bella for a month and we all just adore her. Thanks again for helping us adopt her and for your volunteer work. The Mattisons, Terry, Lynette, Alaina and Bella
