Penny IV
Penny IV

Penny is doing great!!! She and our other beagle, Daisy, are playful and like running around together. Penny is a little skittish at thunder and lightning but she perks up after it's gone. We plan to see a trainer about her skittishness to see if we can help her with that. She has been to our vet and gotten acquainted. Thanks for all you did for her! We will send a picture of her later. Thanks, Patti Johnson

Peanut
Peanut

We just wanted to say "Thank You" for the newest addition to our family, Peanut. She could not have been a more perfect fit for our family! She has a great amount of respect for her 5 new cat sisters and turtle brother. The cats have adjusted to her wonderfully, you can even find Pixel (one of our cats) cleaning her on a regular basis. Peanut came to us about 2 weeks into her heartworm treatment so we had to keep her quiet and calm for a couple more weeks. As we got closer to the end of her "quiet time" you could see her wonderful personality blossom. She loves everyone and every dog she sees! She loves to play, but she also loves to be lazy. I never thought someone could stay in bed as long as my husband does sometimes, but she is right there with him! She also loves car rides! We take her with us anywhere we can take her. Even though it has been almost 2 months, it seems like she has been with us all of her life! We all ove her very much and look forward to the years to come with her! Thank you again for such a wonderful companion! We love our little Princess! Blaine, Jenn, Roxy, Daydream, Pixel, Onyx, Gizmo and Big Turtle Haverty I also wanted to include a couple of pictures! We were all very excited about the new Underdog movie. Peanut wanted to show her support for her fellow Beagle! Who could deny such a beautiful face?! Yeah, I have it made!

We adopted Penny in January and have had her for over 3 months now. She is such a wonderful addition to our family. She is the sweetest, most loving beagle I have ever known. Everyday we question how anyone could have given her up. I recently had surgery and Penny has spent the past month recuperating with me. She follows me everywhere. She loves to sit out on the patio, run in the back yard and take walks. She runs and plays with our son in the yard. We lost our beagle of 13 years (Tillie) last October. Penny has definitely filled the void. She has adopted Tillie's beds and dishes as her own. In honor of Tillie we have Penny to carry on as the Marshall family beagle. Thank you all at TBBR so much for what you do for all of these dogs and for allowing us to adopt Penny. I will always rescue a dog and tell everyone I know to do the same as opposed to buying a puppy. Thanks again. Attached are a couple of recent pictures. Barbara, Brad, and Tyler Marshall in Orlando

Polly
Polly

Well, after almost 1 year actually, Neil and I adopted 2 Beagle rescue dogs. Polly (on the left) is a 3 year old female and Dutch (originally Butch, on the right) is a 6 month old male. He looks like he might have some Foxhound in him. So far, so good. A few accidents in the house but we're all getting the hang of when it's time to go out. We've been to the dog park several times and had our first obedience lesson already. Polly is typical Beagle, nose to the ground and she has selective hearing but she is so sweet. Dutch is a puppy so there's lots of chewing. He's very handsome and curious. I know that they will be a perfect addition to the family. Still trying to get them used to having a cat around. Not an easy task. We did have all three of them on the couch for a while on Saturday night. Missy was very brave, what with all the sniffing that went on.

Philly
Philly

Philly is doing fantastic. I've never known a more affectionate dog. And now that the weather is nicer she's gotten to be more playful-I think the exercise and few pounds she's shed have helped that too. She has really become part of the family. I worry a bit about how she'll adjust to sharing the attention with the new baby, but the upside is that I will probably be staying home full time after the baby comes, so she will spend far less time alone. Not that reasoning like that works with a beagle...but I hope it will at least make the adjustment easier.
