Joe
Joe

Hi, Joe (Cool) is doing good. He was very nervous and jumpy at first, but is getting much more accustomed to us now. He seems to be afraid of men, so it's taking longer for him to warm up to my husband. He goes in the dog crate sometimes to sleep with the door open. The one time he howled was when we shut the door and left the room. Guess we won't be doing that. He seems to be fine when left alone for a short time. We haven't left him for more than a couple hours yet. He likes to go for walks and doesn't want to turn around and go home. I have been getting lots of exercise. We may need to fence in our back yard. We took him to our animal doctor, Dr. Hafner, in Dunedin and he showed us a bad tooth that needs to be pulled, so we will do that on July 2. Also, we are treating him for yeast in his ears. His blood work came out good, so it's safe to go ahead with tooth surgery. We are enjoying Joe. He loves his food(Nutro Ultimate Holistic) with Chicken, Lamb & Salmon. He acts like someone is going to take it while he's eating as he keeps stopping to look around. But still finishes quickly. He likes to go out by the pool and enjoy the leisure of running free out there. I stay with him for now, as I'm not sure if he might try to push through screen or not. Our little 3 year old grandson likes to pet him and Joe was not afraid of him. Our 8 and 10 year old grandchildren are coming in July. I'm sure they will enjoy him. Our daughters, neutered Jack Russell really likes him, too much. Guess we might have to separate when they visit if Franklin doesn't lay off. Guess that's about it. All is well with Joe. I'll try to send another update in July. Thanks for all you do to help Beagles. We're glad you saved Joe. Sincerely, Sherry and (Bernie) Mock

Jazzy
Jazzy

Jazzy is just the best! She has finally filled out, she was so skinny when we first got her. She has a really cute playful side, but is also quite mellow. She is really attached to me, follows me around like a shadow. She loves the kids, and has finally warmed up to my husband. She is still very scared of any strangers, but has really made herself at home with our family. We have had her since November, and only heard her bark for the first time in February, when someone came to the door. Now she barks anytime someone she doesn't know comes to the door. I take that as a sign that she knows this is "her" house now. Jazzy is perfect, we are so, so happy to have added her to our family! Thank you Margarita

Jenny
Jenny

Things are going well with Jenny! We have all been getting used to each other and Jenny is getting very comfortable with us. We have spent the majority of March as members of the local dog park, and Jenny has been getting the maximum exposure to all kinds of different dogs. She seems to be having such a good time, and she even swims in the pond! We are moving up to Gainesville in April, and the apartment complex that we are renting from is very pet friendly! They have a wall of dogs in the office, and they have two small dog parks on the property! We are looking forward to making lots of new doggy friends. Jenny is the hit of our extended family. She even got a special gift from her Great Grandma of doggy bakery cookies for the holiday! We got lots of offers to dog sit! Every where we go we always hear how beautiful she is. Whether we're driving through the tolls or walking down the road, she is the center of attention, and loving every minute of it. I have attached a photo of Jenny (one of the many that we have taken). Hope that you enjoy! Sincerely, Colleen & Robert

Jasmine
Jasmine

Jasmine, now known as, Abby is doing great, our Dear Abby! We had a few issues with accidents in the house but I emailed Paula and she suggested kenneling her which I was a little hesitant about but it has worked out beautifully. Abby took to the kennel right away so she was obviously kennel trained in her previous life. She is adorable, funny and has been a wonderful addition to our family. She has come a long way in just a short time and seems to be adjusting very well. She is truly a part of the family. She doesn't like to see us leave and is extremely happy when we return home. Even Grandma adores her. She walks well on the leash and does well in the car too. Truly a blessing to the family and I think she would say the same about us....:) Thanks for checking. Thanks for all you do! Terri Cooley
