Jake
Jake came to our family in September of 2001 after being neglected, left outside for too long and watching his sister die on a chain. He brought such joy and happiness to our family being our first and only dog. January 29, 2009 we had to put him down because of liver failure. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Jake we enjoyed our time with you and will never forget you. Love, The Ball Family

Jesse ATB 8/4/04
When Jesse gave his heart--you were his. Sadly, Jesse did not have too much time with us before his time came to leave for the bridge. His is free from his pains now, soar high, Jesse! very much loved by wen and Pat

Jimmy
Farewell to our Jimmy. Jimmy was with us for just a short time, and I don't think he even knew how many people at the rescue had fallen in love with him. He came to us from Georgia, a survivor of abuse, this poor little fellow was afraid of everything, even a paper towel roll. Foster mom, Cindy, was working through the fears with him, and giving him all the love he deserved. Jimmy was learning to trust again ... he was learning how to play, thanks to Cindy (and the many toys she provided!) Before his abrupt end, he had started to give kisses, play with the cats (who seemed to understand Jimmy's fears) and he LOVED to ride in the booster seat in Cindy's truck so he could see everything out the window. Jimmy's final days were happy ones ... we only wish there were more days here with us. We know Jimmy is curled up on a cloud, or playing with the stars in the sky, and he is happy, no fears, no hurts. Jimmy, we love you!

Joe - July 2014
My husband and I just wanted to update you all about our little beagle, Joe that we adopted in June of 2008. We had to let him go in July of this year as he had some serious health issues. At about 14 years of age we didn't want to pro-long his suffering. We enjoyed the six years that we had with him and were glad to give him lots of love and attention all that time. Hopefully it helped to make up for any bad experiences that he may have had the first 8 years of his life. He enjoyed getting two good meals a day and lots of treats, going for walks every evening, sleeping in his "safe haven" crate whenever he wanted to and lots of loving pets from us and occasional others. We miss him, but hope to adopt another pet sometime in the future. Sherry & Bernie Mock

Joely (August 2014)
I am very sad to say that Joely died in her sleep last night. She was always loved and brought such joy to our family. I have never met a more loveable dog. We loved the way she greeted us at the door and her fetish for the trash can was adorable. She had many wonderful traits. Thank you for placing her in our home. Her time with us was brief but it was also priceless.
