Barney 12/21/07
It was with a broken heart that Barney had to be put down on Friday, December 21, 2007. Christmas was especially hard as he was my Christmas present in 1992. It is hard to imagine my life without him. For the last fifteen years, Barney has been my constant companion. Through college, law school, moves, romances, marriage and the birth of my daughter, Barney has been there through it all. I have so many great memories such as putting him in his first Santa hat, Easter treat hunts, all the drives with him on my lap and his head resting on my arm, and having him burrow next to me at night to sleep. He was so funny in that he never gave me another lick on the face after the first one that convinced me that he was the “one” even though my roommate and I would try to bribe him with peanut butter and other food. All Barney ever wanted was food, love and snuggle time. You could not sit on our couch without being welcomed by Barney on your lap. Even if you did not like dogs, you would love Barney. The last year has been hard on him, with the last six months especially hard. Although I am devastated by his death, I know that he now gets to live his life the way he was meant to be .... pain free and happy.

Baxter - March 2017
Baxter was quite the character. He was a foster failure 6 years ago. He lived out his life at the Beagle Orphanage as a forever Beagle teaching all the fosters who came to stay all of the ropes and when it was time for dinner with his Beagle bay. He will be missed everyday.

Bella VI
10/30/2023 - I wanted to reach out to let you know that our sweet Bella crossed the Rainbow 🌈 bridge this past Friday. We adopted her from you in 2010 and cannot express the love and joy she brought us for 13 years. She was originally "Bella VI" and we kept her name as Bella. She had an amazing life that she shared with her 2 beagle siblings Sophie and Copper as well as 4 cats. She never met anyone she didn't like. She loved car rides and especially digging up bugs in our yard. We are forever grateful for the being able to share her life with her and she was truly loved and incredibly missed. She had a few medical struggles throughout her life but always came through, she was a tough little girl. Unfortunately this last struggle with a tumor on her liver was too much for her so we let her go peacefully. We wanted to share how much love she brought us with you.

Belle ATB 11/29/06
Sweet Belle! Belle came into our home right at a time when I needed her. She was supposed to be a foster, but I knew in a short time, we were supposed to be together, and we adopted her. It took Belle a long time to really know she had a home and was not going to have to leave. She learned to play with toys about 5 months before she came down with cancer. To see a hound her age,(about 14) toss a stuffed toy or run to fetch one that you had thrown, was beautiful. You could see the smile on her face as she learned how to play. Belle was a very wise soul, and quickly trained me. I would have done anything for her. Belle showed me how deep love can be and even though she is gone from me, our heart connection is stong as ever. I sure miss you baby girl! Love, momma wen

Ben aka On Time 09/10/2007
Just a note to let you know Ben was put to rest yesterday. He reached a point where he could not walk anymore, control his bladder or bowels and the pain medication no longer worked for him. It was very painful for us and we will both feel the pain of losing him for quite some time. We love him and wanted him to be happy no matter how short his time was. His cremation will be private and can mail you some of his ashes if you'd like. I know you and Wendy were fond of him.......He was the cutest boy and so loving all the time. He left his mark on us and made our lives so much better just with his "cuteness" and wagging tail. He will remain special........Karen Lawrence
