Abner is a sweet young boy who came to us all the way from Mississippi! He is very shy around new people but warms up pretty quickly. He loves the people that take care of him so much that he tends to howl for a bit when they leave the house but greets us with the cutest whole body wags when we get home! Other than barking when we leave the house, he’s pretty quiet.
Abner is good with other dogs and loves to play with his older foster brother and sister. He is also content with playing by himself with toys, and his favorite game is pulling all the toys out of the basket one-by-one so they’re all easily accessible!
Abner is crate trained and will sleep in the crate although he would rather be snuggled up close to you. We are still working on house-breaking as he does not let us know when he has to go out and is not a fan of wet grass. He is still very much a puppy so there are still a few tricks he needs to learn and needs to have an eye kept on him to keep him out of trouble.
Abner loves car rides but is not a big fan of walks just yet. He gets pretty skittish when he hears a loud noise.
Abner would do best in a house with a yard. He howls went left alone, which may not be the best situation for an apartment/condo.
