Meet Chaos! She is a 5 1/2 year old Beagle who loves long walks anywhere and likes to play with squeaky toys. She really likes blankets when it's time to relax or go to bed. When she gets a chance to run, she is in beagle heaven. She will do almost anything for a treat, in fact she can play dead when you say "Bang!", sit pretty, high five, shake, and roll over. She loves older kids who can play with her, and she's never known a stranger. She is AKC certified and agility trained. When Chaos was 2, she was diagnosed with Addison's Disease* and takes medication every day to stay her furry funny self.
_____________ * Addison’s disease, whether in dogs or humans, is an endocrine system disorder that occurs when the adrenal glands fail to produce enough hormone for normal function. A properly treated dog can live a normal active life. Chaos is on a liquid medication purchased through her vet who gets through APS pharmacy. A bottle costs $80 for a three-month supply, which works out to be about $27 a month. She drinks more water than other dogs, but other than that, she is a typical beagle. She has a yearly blood test to make sure the levels and dosages are correct.
