Callie and her babies were found along the side of the road in rural Lake County.  Callie was very very thin when she came into the rescue and it was obvious that she was giving all she had to keep her babies alive.  She was a wonderful momma to her babies and now she is looking for a new home as well.

She is timid and it appears that she was never in a home prior to coming to her foster home.  She was terribly afraid of most household noises like running water from the kitchen, flushing of a toilet and the sounds/movements on the television.  We have been working with her and she is gradually becoming more comfortable with the sounds of home life but will need someone with extra patience as it will likely take her longer to acclimate into a new home and routine.  She is very playful but can be relentless with the other dogs in her foster home when they tell her they have had enough playtime.  She loves stuffed toys and will gather them all for herself and even try to bury a few in the backyard.

She is very sweet and wants to trust so if you have the love and patience to give this sweet girl a chance she would be forever grateful !!
