Smokin' Joe needed some help when he was rescued from animal control and that is why he was named after the boxer Joe Frazier. We wanted him to be a champion and he proved to be just that. TBBR removed his cancerous tumor and he has been cancer-free ever since. 

Joe Frazier was described as being a very nice guy and Smokin' Joe is working hard at living up to that image. He wants to be with the family and thrives on lots of praise and attention. Joe knows how to sit on command and to lie down. He will also speak when asked and he will shake your hand for a treat.

Smokin' Joe is friendly towards everyone, but he has a few difficulties with being pushed or pulled. Because of this it is not recommended that he live in a home with children who do not understand this.

 Joe is a cute beagle boy who wants to be loved and to give love. He gets along well with the dogs in the house and is always so happy when other dogs come to visit. His tail does not stop wagging as he introduces himself to new dogs as they come and go. 

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
