UPDATE: Smither has learned how to use the doggie door. Except for one accident his first night in foster, no potty accidents in the house! He's curious about the cat, but friendly. He is learning not to jump up on people.

Smither is a young, energetic, friendly goofball. He was timid at first, but quickly decided that the house dog life was for him! He's bigger than a beagle; maybe a foxhound or coonhound mix.

Smither is getting used to his crate. He doesn't like to be locked in, but he will go into it with the door open. He also gets fed in his crate, which should help him get used to it.

He howled when he was put in the crate for his first night in his foster home, so was allowed to stay loose in the family room with the other two dogs. He had one accident; right by the sliding glass door. We think when he "gets" the doggie door, he won't have any more accidents.
